Auto-schedule with a labour budget

Generate a balanced draft rota from sales forecasts, labour targets, availability, and contracted hours.

Auto-schedule with a labour budget

Auto-schedule creates a draft plan. It never publishes shifts automatically.

Enter the commercial target

Choose either a weekly labour budget in pounds or a labour percentage, then add forecast sales for the week. CrewByte uses pay rates to estimate the cost of every suggested shift.

Set coverage rules

Add weekday and weekend staffing targets, earliest start, latest finish, and minimum shift length. Keep manager or supervisor coverage enabled when every shift requires a responsible person.

How hours are distributed

CrewByte first protects approved leave and unavailable blocks. It then tries to give every eligible employee at least the configured minimum shift, before distributing remaining hours fairly toward contracted hours.

Review the result

Open shifts show gaps CrewByte could not assign safely. Review labour cost, coverage, and individual weekly hours before publishing.
